I see you rising above your fears
Fear can cause us to sometimes forget everything and run, and you may be stuck wondering “why?”. However, we can also stand in our fears where we face everything and rise. If you are reading this, that means you are already taking the courageous steps to face that fear and you’re ready to rise above your current challenges and circumstances. You are brave for walking in that fear to seek help and I am here to support you in your healing journey.
My name is Harrison Flood and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communications at UNC Charlotte and received my Master’s in Counseling from UNC Charlotte with a focus in clinical mental health counseling. My clinical background includes working with young and older adults experiencing a range of different issues that include: anxiety, depression, adjustment, anger, relationship issues, grief and trauma. I offer an eclectic approach to therapy in which I use a range of evidenced based interventions to best address your presenting needs and concerns. These include person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), mindfulness and other holistic and strength-based approaches.
I also have a special interest in minority mental health and I’m a strong supporter of breaking the stigma around men’s mental health. It is not unmanly or weak to struggle. Everyone needs and deserves the necessary support no matter who they are.
It is my desire through this therapeutic journey that you will feel empowered to be your true authentic self. I provide a safe, empathic, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment in which we will work together to help you heal from hurts and develop healthy coping strategies that will help you thrive in your present. I look forward to working with you.
